Fashion is all about unique ways to dress, but sometimes it helps if you have a plan. Here are some examples of fashion that can help you get started.

1. Sporty:

Athleisure is also known as sporty style. It combines elements of athletic wear like leggings and bike shorts with oversize sweatshirts.

2. Bohemian:

Bohemian style is also known as “boho”, or “boho chic”, and draws inspiration from 1960’s hippie culture and the 1960s. This style uses earth tones, natural dyes and fabrics, as well as prints and accessories from all over the globe. Boho style is characterized by flowing maxi dresses with bell-bottoms, long skirts and bell-bottom pants. It also features large brimmed caps, fringe, suede and slouchy bags.

3. Grunge:

Grunge music and subcultures that emerged in the 1980s and 1990s in Seattle inspired grunge fashion. This style features thrift-store finds such as plaid flannel tops, large knits, and feminine dresses that are subversive and messy. Grunge looks include ripped jeans, tights, and unkempt hairstyles.

4. Preppy:

Preppy fashion is inspired by the uniforms and clothing worn at Ivy League colleges and private East Coast prep schools. Preppy fashion often draws inspiration from high-class sports such as tennis, sailing, horseback riding, and tennis. Preps love to wear polo shirts and Oxford shirts. They also like to wear argyle sweaters or socks.

5. Punk:

Punk fashion was inspired by the subversive styles of punk rocker style from the ’70s to ’80s. It also includes many subcultures with their own unique style codes. Leather jackets, chunky black boots, deconstructed blazers and ripped fishnet stockings are some of the key elements of punk fashion. Punk clothing is often adorned with band logos, provocative messaging, and customisation with safety pins or patches. Heavy black eyeliner, heavy mohawks, dyed and spiked hair are all part of punk grooming.

6. Streetwear:

Streetwear is a casual fashion trend that was first popularized in the 1990s. Streetwear includes comfortable, trendy clothing like logo T-shirts, crop tops, hoodies and baggy pants. It also features expensive sneakers. Streetwear draws inspiration from hip-hop and skater styles, but with intentional product scarcity. Hypebeasts are streetwear enthusiasts who go to great lengths in order to obtain limited-edition designer baseball caps and hoodies as well as sneakers.

7. Classic:

The term classic style refers to a style that is polished and everyday, but also includes elements of workwear like blazers, pencil skirts and khakis. This professional style is suitable for work and any other setting where you need to look your best.

8. Casual:

Casual style is what you would wear on the weekends. You can wear jeans, T-shirts, sneakers, or boots in casual style. Streetwear and sporty styles can both be classified as casual styles. However, casual style can also look preppy or hip.
